Romantic bridge in Sommerau
The bridge just north of Gusterath station was not completely safe to walk across as some boards were missing. That must be the reason why there was a fence across the tracks. It was also the only bridge with tracks still in place.
The never-ending rain was getting a bit annoying now.

Gusterath station (+/- km 12) is a few kilometers north of the village itself. It was raining pretty hard now and I didn't want to walk around to much looking for the best photo spot.

Station Pluwig (km 16). At least it is still in use for passenger traffic, on rubber wheels nowadays.

Bridge at km 17.1. It is nice to be able to get out of the rain while taking a break.

Some interesting ruins of a stone quarry (?) just across the bridge on the south side.

Most of the kilometerstones are still in place, here km 18.2

Remnants of halting place at Hinzerburger Mühle (it's not mentioned in my standard reference timetable of 1944).

The railroad is always either on a high dam crossing a side valley or in a cut. Here it is cut through the solid rock at +/- km 19.8

The line crosses the Ruwer 28 times. Here's the bridge at km 19.9.
