| On 30 September 2002 we did a group exploration of the Charleroi Métro but also drove around the coal and steel industry in this town. This was really very pretty, all black and brown colors of coal and rust. Big pipes, conveyer belts and nice industrial buildings. We stopped for pictures at a bridge over a bundle of railroad tracks. We saw abandoned watertowers, a collapsed pipeline, some overgrown tracks and a blocked off but old looking railroad tunnel. Worth a revisit I should think. |
