Sail with remnant of lattice framework sticking up against the sky

Millwrights marks on the cap turning ring

Various types of greenery growing on the 'lange spruit' (English? no idea)

The windshaft was cast by Koning as nr 70 in 1903

Feels a bit dangerous standing here. The windshaft and sails seem to be leaning over quite a bit.

Nice quiet little corner of nature. Singing birds in the trees. Many tracks of deer. Two hares, many aquatic birds in the water and a bird of pray on the mill, all fleeing as I arrived of course. Better leave them to their peace, now I have seen what I wanted to see.

Clouds on the horizon

De Marmearmin in 2001. Picture by Willemjans. The mill has deteriorated rapidly in less than a decade, though it was already in a bad state of repair in 2001.

There are some efforts being made to save this mill. However it cannot function in its current location in between the trees and it has deteriorated so far that repair would result in an almost completely new mill. Supporters for saving the mill have gathered on Help molen de Marmeermin-hyve.
