We walked further along the line and came upon another pair of workers,
mowing the grass on the track for some reason. Some indecision followed,
but Ben decided to ask them if we could pass. He told them something
of us being interested in industrial history or something (I hardly
speak or understand French). Anyway, they told us officially we were
not allowed to be here, but they would act like they didn't see us,
so we could continue.
Freshly mown grass, but they left
the trees intact.
It was strange to see the signals
still burning, even giving speedlimits though the track was pretty
much overgrown here.
Further on we found the first tunnel. Just before the tunnel was
some very good graffiti. The tunnel was pretty long, and also because
of some bends the it was almost completely dark in the middle where
station Centenaire was. Climbing the stairs here and carefully watching
through the windows of the station entry we could see we were now
near some shopping center.
