Tip from the internet, an old school. |
Rear side. Green fence looks easy
climbable... |
...but next door they were busy
demolishing an apartment building. I left it for a later exploration.
If they leave it standing long enough, that is.
When I checked again some time later, some workman were busy in
the old school. I hope it's going to be renovated then, in stead
of demolished.
Arthur, from KnurpsLog, also made some pictures
of the school building and the appartment
block.

17-10-02: Manure farms
On the west side of Hengelo the municipally has planned a new office
park. The area has been leveled, roads put in but no office building
has appeared yet. Two farms have remained standing, the municipally
meaning to give them some other function in due time. In the mean
time, squatters moved in. Not really living there as far as I know,
just a place to party for a group of friends from the area. Some civil
servants did not like this at all and invented a creative way of dealing
with this. Without telling their superiors they called some farmers
from a nearby village and let them pour liquid manure into the farms.
The squatters were not very pleased with this, as can be imagined.
The town council was not amused either. Reactions of newspaper readers
ranged from "This stinks" to "A refreshing approach
to the squatter problem".
Anyway by this time the squatters have left, the municipally has had
the buildings cleaned and the smell has had time to disappear so time
to have a look for myself. |
House number 1. The municipally placed
a fence around it. |
Ehm... (please mail
me your translation suggestion). |
Someone had been so nice to leave the fence open on the other side
of the building
