Other

From this point (+/- km 2.8) on towards Hermeskeil the rails have been removed and the railroad is being turned into a bicycle path.

km 3

The primary railroad bridge has been replaced by one suitable for bicycles. I'm not sure if the other bridge is being repaired or cut up in pieces.

Some interesting industrial archeology at km 4. This smal factory once had it's own railroad connection according to my map.

Another detail.

Station Grünhaus-Mertesdorf, nowadays a "Western Restaurant". The railroad has been tarmac-ed

Just some nice autumn colours

Approaching Kasel at km 5.5 At least the busstop is still named "Bahnhof".
Spend the night near Kasel, though it was a bit difficult to find a somewhat horizontal and out-of-sight place for the tent. The next day the 'indian summer' was over, the weather was dreary and it didn't take long before it started raining.

Station Waldrach at km 7.3
